The Law provides that a multi-year plan must be established for the reduction of air pollution, including GHG emissions.
A national plan for the reduction of air pollution was formulated, and was approved in August 2013. A limited budget of ILS140 million (USD 37.8 billion) for five years was approved for the plan.
The plan includes renewing the vehicle scrapping scheme; increased monitoring of quarries; a pilot project for CNG buses, and encouragement of public transport usage.
