The Plan de Descarbonización Chile, initially established in 2019, aims to transition the country towards a low-carbon energy system and achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. In November 2024, an updated draft of the plan was released for public consultation, introducing 45 concrete measures across four main axes to accelerate Chile's energy transition, focusing on strengthening the security and resilience of the electrical system.
