National Ecological Transition Strategy

Tunisia's National Ecological Transition Strategy aims to guide sustainable economic development across a wide range of sectors while preserving and restoring natural capital. The strategy underscores the need to adapt to climate change and reduce the carbon intensity of the economy. Among other measures, it promotes: development of climate-specific policies and the formation of government entities to oversee their implementation; creation of a national climate early warning system; intensification of reforestation efforts; substantial waste reductions across the economy; enhanced flood protection; sustainable urban mobility.
