This strategy is paired with the <a href="https://climate-laws.org/geographies/united-states-of-america/policies/wildfire-risk-five-year-monitoring-maintenance-and-treatment-plan">Wildfire Risk Five-Year Monitoring, Maintenance, and Treatment Plan</a>. It was prepared by the US Department for Agriculture's Forest Service and aims to make the agency and partners to engineer a paradigm shift "by focusing fuels and forest health treatments more strategically and at the scale of the problem". It builds on the <a href="https://www.forestsandrangelands.gov/strategy/">National Cohesive Wildland Fire Management Strategy</a>.
