This policy sets out a target to increase the contribution of the LULUCF sink so that by 2030, it accounts for 10% of total emissions. The policy includes sustainable forest management, development of new jobs, and an emphasis on making ecological forests "a place for people and nature to co-exist." The Korea Forest Service will also work to manage forests to protect people from forest fires and landslides.
