According to Jordan's NDC, this document sets the institutional and regulatory framework on climate change, notably across the government. It creates and defines the role of the National Climate Change Committee and its structure. The Ministry of Environment is responsible for preparing and tracking the implementation of the NDC, reporting to the UNFCCC Secretariat, developing the National Adaptation Plans and any other documents in accordance with international obligations. The Ministry is responsible to establish and manage the Measurement, Reporting and Verification Registry System, and to coordinate with the relevant authorities to develop the National Climate Finance Plan and to benefit from the market mechanisms/instruments that would prove its viability with the national circumstances.
