This Strategy provides a blueprint to guide communications planning. It is organised around five key components: setting objectives and organising internally (i.e. getting different government entities involved and coordinated); identifying key audiences, both internally and externally; developing key messages; selecting the most effective modes, methods and channels for communication of messages; and establishing ways to evaluate the impacts of the communications campaign. There are sector-specific messaging examples for various sectors and examples of climate messages targeted at different audiences.
