Summary

This Decree establishes the organisation and the operations of the Ministry of the Environment, which mission is to formulate, guide and implement policy in the environmental field; regulate all public and private action relating to the environment; and ensure sovreign measures conducive to environmental protection, biodiversity conservation, the fight against climate change; and a better living environment for the well-being of the population.

The Act establishes the National Committee on Climate Change; the National Council for Spatial Planning; the Environment and Climate Change; the Interministerial Technical Commissions on the Environment and Climate Change; Sectoral Technical Environmental and Climate Units; and Sectoral Environmental Tables.
