Georgia Development Strategy - Vision 2030

The cornerstone of the national strategy vision 2030 is the commitment to creating a sustainable, resilient, and modern energy landscape in Georgia, closely aligned with European standards. The plan specifically targets ensuring the overall sustainability and reliability of the energy sector by prioritizing the development of the domestic energy market and actively supporting energy efficiency across all sectors. A key component of this effort is the expansion of clean power generation through the increased deployment of renewable sources of energy. Complementing these energy goals are critical environmental and climate mandates, which include reducing the population's vulnerability to climate change, implementing an integrated management system of water resources, and protecting the Black Sea environment. Furthermore, systemic improvements are targeted through upgrading air quality monitoring and assessment, and fundamentally improving the entire waste management system by promoting the circular economy.
