Rwanda's Green Growth and Climate Resilience Strategy from 2023 aims to support sustainable socioeconomic development, climate adaptation/resilience, and mitigation progress towards a goal for carbon neutrality by 2050. The strategy supports renewable energy development (including hydro, wind, solar), climate-smart dense urbanism, electrified and public transport. It also emphasises the need to enhance irrigation efficiency in the agricultural sector, improving climate resilience and rural income. For landscape-level resilience, the strategy promotes agroforestry and forest restoration.
