Summary

This decree creates within the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Equipment, a Project Management Unit (PMU) responsible for the implementation of the Food Insecurity Resilience Development Project. This applies to the Sahel in the regions of Fatick, Matam, Saint-Louis, Tambacounda and Ziguinchor (DRIARS Senegal). The aim of the project is to contribute to the reduction of food insecurity and to the development of the resilience of vulnerable populations in Senegal by targeting five (5) vulnerable regions of the country subjected to climate variability and hazards, in accordance with the objectives of the National Plan for Agricultural Investment (PNIA).
