National Water Policy

The policy seeks to provide a plan for sustainable water management in Zimbabwe. It recognises that climate change is a significant factor in achieving sustainable water use and sanitation for the Zimbabwean population. To that end, the policy provides that the different government institutions working on water management must integrate climate change into all water resource planning and design activities. It further provides that government programming and interventions on water, sanitation, and hygiene should be based on relevant global treaties, technologies, and practices that recognise climate change.
