<p>Mexico began aligning its National Biodiversity Strategy (ENBioMex) with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework  through a national process led by CONABIO. As a result, the Alignment of Mexico's National Biodiversity Strategy (ENBioMex) and 2030 Action Plan with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) Targets recognises climate change as a critical driver of biodiversity loss, embedding it explicitly in Target 8, which calls for minimising climate and ocean acidification impacts on biodiversity through mitigation, adaptation, and disaster risk reduction. Other targets promote ecosystem-based approaches and nature-based solutions that bolster biodiversity’s role in climate resilience, reinforcing the interdependence of global climate and biodiversity goals.</p>
