The Climate Fiscal Framework (CFF) 2020 provides principles and tools for climate fiscal policy-making (CFP), helping to identify the demand and supply sides of climate fiscal funds and ensuring that CFP is transparent and sustainable in the long term. The Bangladesh Climate Fiscal Framework (CFF) 2020 is an updated version of the original framework established in 2014. The 2020 version expands its scope to encompass the roles of the private sector, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and civil society organisations (CSOs), aiming to make it more citizen-centric and elevate its profile. Additionally, it includes policies related to lending and insurance, along with other fiscal policies such as taxes, value-added tax (VAT), subsidies, and pricing, as part of the government's public fiscal policies. It highlights issues concerning the supply of climate finance, climate-inclusive fiscal policies, development planning, budgeting, and the implementation of the framework.
