<p>This Action Plan follows an assessment of the country's capacity regarding disaster risk management. Through its implementation Côte d'Ivoire aims to achieve a substantial reduction in the loss and risk of disasters in terms of human lives, livelihoods and health, and economic, physical, social, cultural and environmental damage to individuals, businesses and communities.<br><br>The plan has four lines of action (priorities): Understanding of disaster risk, strengthening of institutions for risk disaster management, investment in economic, social and environmental resilience, and improving readiness for efficient response and reconstruction.</p>
