<p>The UK Clean Energy Industries Sector Plan is a core part of the <a href="https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/69256e16367485ea116a56de/industrial_strategy_policy_paper.pdf" target="_self"><ins>UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy</ins></a>, aiming to make the country a global leader in clean energy by 2035. The plan targets frontier industries including offshore and onshore wind, hydrogen, carbon capture, heat pumps, nuclear fission, and nuclear fusion. Its objectives are to double annual private investment in clean energy industries to over £30 billion by 2035, strengthen domestic supply chains, accelerate innovation and deployment, improve energy security, and create high-quality jobs across the UK. The government intends to support growth through infrastructure investment, skills development, regulatory reform, and public-private partnerships while positioning the UK as a major exporter of clean energy technologies and service</p>

Policy instruments are techniques or tools used by governing authorities to promote certain policies in order to achieve predetermined goals. Put simply, instruments are how a government tries to achieve its goals, with this taxonomy being focused on national policy instruments.

Social inclusion is the process of improving the terms on which individuals and groups take part in society—improving the ability, opportunity, and dignity of those disadvantaged on the basis of their identity.

Extreme weather refers to events where a weather variable exceeds (or falls below) a threshold. Meaning it is significantly different from the average or usual weather pattern.
