<p>Member States shall ensure that contracting authorities, contracting entities and operators under a public service contract, take into account the operational lifetime energy and environmental impacts when purchasing road transport vehicles. This Directive was amended by <a href="https://eur-lex.europa.eu/eli/dir/2019/1161/oj" target="_self">Directive 2019/1161</a>.</p>
