Fuel Economy Standards for passenger and heavy duty vehicles

Heavy duty vehicles standards passed

<p>Japan's fuel economy standards have been implemented and amended over time through ministerial ordinances. They aim at improving fuel efficiency and set targets to 2030 accordingly and were designed by a council on behalf of the ministry.The current fuel efficiency standards for heavy duty vehicles will be about 13.4% stronger for trucks and about 14.3% stronger for buses compared to the current 2015 fuel efficiency standards. They apply for the period up to 2025.</p>
