<p>This law sets the criteria of 'minimum energy performance\ for appliances and electrical equipment powered by natural gas, liquid or gaseous petroleum products, coal and renewable energies. It makes mandatory energy audits for companies and institutions in the production, transmission and distribution of energy, as well as the performance of an energy impact study for new construction and urban projects. It also defines the role of energy services and facilities, and establishes technical control.</p>
