<p>The 2025–2030 Mexican National Development Plan (PND) articulates the government’s vision for consolidating the country’s ongoing transformation through a model rooted in Mexican Humanism (Humanismo Mexicano). This framework prioritises social justice, democratic governance, and environmental sustainability, seeking to decouple political power from private and foreign interests while restoring the State’s leadership in economic, energy, and social policy. The Plan reaffirms commitments to universal social rights, the expansion of public infrastructure, and a transition from economic growth to holistic development that centres human wellbeing, dignity, and environmental stewardship.The PND integrates sustainability and climate resilience across policy areas. Key strategies include the promotion of clean energy through public investment and energy sovereignty via strengthened state enterprises (PEMEX and CFE); the sustainable use of natural resources; and robust adaptation and mitigation actions in response to climate change. Emphasis is placed on climate justice, rural equity, and the protection of vulnerable populations. The Plan also outlines the expansion of renewable energy capacity, the right to water, and the transition to agroecological practices.</p>
