<p>Burkina Faso's National Social and Economic Development Plan 2021-2025 (PNDES-II) aims to promote sustainable development in the economy and social spheres. It names climate change as a key threat to the goals of the plan, which themselves aim partly to improve long-term adaptation. The plan underscores the importance of integrating climate change considerations into national planning and budgeting across sectors, and promoting clean technologies. It also outlines key gaps in existing adaptation strategy, such as the mainstreaming of environmental considerations in education, and a lack of intersection between climate and sanitation planning.</p>
