<p>The National Strategy on Internal Displacement Management addresses internal displacement in Bangladesh caused by climate-related disasters such as floods, tropical cyclones, storm surges, and droughts. It provides a comprehensive framework to manage displacement across three phases: pre-displacement, during displacement, and post-displacement (durable solutions). The Strategy is aligned with international frameworks, including the UN Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (2015–2030), the UN Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement (1998), and the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).</p>

Climate change can increase the frequency and severity of some geohazards, such as landslides, and soil erosion.
