<p>The National Policy Framework for the Development of the Alternative Fuels Market, adopted via Resolution No. 149, serves as Poland's strategic roadmap to decarbonize the transport sector and align with the European Union’s AFIR requirements. Its primary objective is the massive expansion of charging and refueling infrastructure, aiming for approximately 87,000 public electric vehicle charging points by 2030, with a specific focus on installing high-power stations every 60 km along major TEN-T highway corridors. Beyond electrification, the framework prioritizes the development of a hydrogen refueling network for heavy-duty transport, the implementation of shore-side electricity for ships at major maritime ports, and the integration of sustainable fuels in aviation. Ultimately, the policy seeks to eliminate technical barriers, while providing the financial subsidies and regulatory stability necessary to transition Poland's logistics and transit industries toward a zero-emission future.</p>
<p>It also aims to establish a network of 37 hydrogen refueling stations by 2030 to support a projected fleet of over 1,000 hydrogen-powered buses and heavy trucks, while simultaneously promoting biomethane as a renewable drop-in replacement for natural gas to decarbonize existing CNG and LNG infrastructure.</p>
