The 500MW Solar Programme is the largest Solar Power Development Mission in Bangladesh. The strategy of the mission is to embrace 500MW solar power by 2016 at affordable price, implemented in coordination by the public and private sectors.
This mission will be implemented using two types of projects: 1) Commercial Solar Power Projects and 2) Social Sector Solar Power Projects.
