As a semi-arid country, Botswana experiences drought years which are intensified by climate change and fresh-water supply issues. The plan therefore uses integrated solutions for water resources management, which were developed through stakeholder consultations. The resulting strategic areas are for example efficiency of water allocation; or water supply and demand management.
