Summary

This Action Plan follows an assessment of the country's capacity regarding disaster risk management. Through its implementation Côte d'Ivoire aims to achieve a substantial reduction in the loss and risk of disasters in terms of human lives, livelihoods and health, and economic, physical, social, cultural and environmental damage to individuals, businesses and communities.

The plan has four lines of action (priorities): Understanding of disaster risk, strengthening of institutions for risk disaster management, investment in economic, social and environmental resilience, and improving readiness for efficient response and reconstruction.
