This Decree establishes the National Guidelines on Business and Human Rights, for medium and large companies, including multinational companies with activities in the country.
Art.3 defines the guidelines that will guide the State's responsibility for the protection of human rights in business activities.
Art. 12. states that it is up to ("competir a") companies to adopt initiatives for environmental sustainability, such as to adopt measures to make operations more efficient, in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, in order to contribute to the fight against climate change (art 12. VII).
