Decree No. 12,614, implementing Law No. 14,993, of October 8, 2024, aims to provide for the National Program for Decarbonization of Natural Gas Producers and Importers and Incentives for Biomethane. It also amends Decree No. 10,712, of June 2, 2021. Article 4 of the Decree stipulates that the CNPE (National Energy Policy Council) will establish, by November 1st of each year, the mandatory annual target for reducing GHG emissions in the natural gas market for the following year.
