Summary

The objective of this Plan is to promote the effective integration of gender in the implementation of climate change mitigation and adaptation measures in a manner that is equitable for both men and women. The main actions are: (i) mobilise institutional and community actors for gender-transformative climate actions, (ii) strengthen the capacities of structures and decision-makers, technicians, and populations for gender-transformative climate actions, and (iii) empower women, young people, people with disabilities, and rural communities to strengthen their resilience to climate change.

The nine sectors this Plan covers are: agriculture; energy; forestry; waste; water resources; health; ubran infrastructure and development; coastal and tourism. In addition to the main actions which are common to all nine sectors impacted by climate change, specific actions for each sector have been planned.
