This strategy examines and compares four business-as-usual scenarios and four mitigation scenarios, concluding that the most expensive scenario for the Republic of Serbia would be to ignore the costs related to climate change. Based on these results, the strategy seeks to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 13% by 2030 and 55% TO 69% by 2050 excluding land use, land use change, and forestry. It further aims to encourage the transition of the Republic of Serbia to a low-carbon and climate-resilient society.
