The National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Plan (DRRM Plan) serves as the national guide on how sustainable development can be achieved through inclusive growth while building the adaptative capacities of communities, increasing the resilience of vulnerable sectors and optimizing disaster mitigation opportunities. 

The DRRM plan focusses on the following areas: 1) Disaster Prevention and Mitigation; 2) Disaster Preparadness; 3) Disaster Response; 4) DIsaster Recovery and Rehabilitation. Eache area has its own long term goal.
