National Environment Sector Plan (NESP) 2023-2027

Samoa's National Environment Sector Plan (NESP) for 2023-2027 aims to guide environmental conservation and sustainable development, noting climate change as a significant national and global threat to the environment. A priority of the plan is to enhance climate resilience and low-carbon technology across sectors, through land use and efficient natural resource consumption. It promotes forest restoration, improved hydrological and climate monitoring/warning systems, and general improvements in climate-resilience capacity across environmental education, governance and infrastructure project implementation.
