Summary

The 2030 objective of this strategy is to preserve the environment while enabling sustainable development. An action plan is integrated to the document. It seeks in particular to 1) Valuing natural resources in a sustainable and CC-resilient way for the benefit of the poor, and 2)  Promote the environmentally sound use of ecosystem services and natural resources. 

The strategy is based on the following strategic actions: 
  • Integrated environmental governance adapted to the challenges
  • Integrated and sustainable management of natural resources and terrestrial biodiversity ('green' environment),
  • Sustainable management of the marine and coastal environment ('blue' environment)
  • Strengthening the prevention and management of pollution and anthropogenic threats ('grey' environment)
