The Public Investment Fund (PIF) of Saudi Arabia has established a Green Finance Framework that sets out its strategy for contributing to the achievement of the country’s climate targets, including the development of renewable energy sources. The Framework sets out which projects are eligible for ‘green financing’, in line with international standards (such as the ICMA’s Green Bond Principles 2021).
