The Strategy for Sustainable Development of Rural Areas, Agriculture and Fisheries 2030 (SZRWRiR 2030) aims to ensure food security, increase the economic value added from agriculture, and sustainably raise incomes of rural residents while reducing economic, social and territorial disparities and improving the natural environment. The strategy pursues three complementary objectives: strengthening food security and resilience to crises, improving quality of life and environmental conditions, and developing entrepreneurship and non-agricultural employment. It sets out integrated directions of intervention and actions that are financed from national and EU funds, with a strong emphasis on modernisation, innovation, environmental sustainability and increasing sector resilience to climate change. The strategy was adopted by Resolution 123/2019 on 15 October 2019.
