<p>The "PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana" programme aims to provide solar rooftop systems to 10 million households by March 2027. The plan offers subsidies of up to 60% for systems up to 2kW and 40% for 2-3kW systems. The programme was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in February 2024. As of January 27, 2025, the scheme has achieved significant progress, with 846,000 households installing rooftop solar systems under the programme.</p>
