Strategic Roadmap for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells

The Strategic Roadmap for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells defines 1) new targets on the specification of basic technologies and the breakdown of costs, 2) necessary measures for achieving these goals; and 3) that Japan will convene a working group consisting of experts to review the status of implementation in each area stipulated by the roadmap.

Renewable energy means all forms of energy produced from renewable sources in a sustainable manner.

Fossil fuel is a generic term for non-renewable energy sources such as coal, fossil gas, and oil (including crude oil, and petroleum products), that can be used for electricity and heat generation. Fossil fuels are hydrocarbons formed from pressurised and heated organic material buried over millions of years.
