Act (2010:598) on sustainability criteria for biofuels and bioliquids

This Act contains the provisions on criteria that biofuels and bioliquids must meet to be considered sustainable. 

In order for biofuels and bioliquids to be considered sustainable, their use must reduce greenhouse gas emissions by a certain amount below the level of emissions that the use of fossil fuels would generate. Special provisions apply depending on the origin of the bioliquid and biofuels, e.g., for those that are produced from waste or residual products.
