The Agriculture Development Strategy (ADS) provides a guidance for the agricultural sector both production (crops, livestocks,fisheries,forestry) and processing and trade sectors (storage, transport and logistics,finance, marketing).
The ADS establishes the following vision: “a self-reliant, sustainable, competitive, and inclusive agricultural sector that drives economic growth and contributes to improved livelihoods and food and nutrition security.”
The ADS will accelerate agricultural sector growth through four strategic components related to governance, productivity, profitable commercialisation and competitiveness while promoting inclusiveness, sustainability, development of private sector and connectivity to market infrastructure.
