The current farm law was approved in 2018 and is in force until 2023 apart from some exceptions. It notably promotes 1) "advanced grazing management", that aims in part to improve soil health and carbon sequestration; and increase resilience to droughts and 2) "management-intensive rotational grazing", that aims in part to increase carbon sequestration from greater forage harvest.
