Summary

The Circular Strategy on Environment 2023-2028 serves as a roadmap, outlining the priority actions with the aim of ensuring integrity, climate resilience, environmental sustainability, and promoting a green economy. The overarching goal is realising the Pentagonal strategy’s aim for Cambodia to be carbon-neutral, with 60 percent of forest cover by 2050.

Three strategy has three angles, to enhance policy, establish digital administration, and broaden extension in order to achieve the aim of

  1. Being clean (controlling pollution, improving environmental impact assessment, and modernise the pollution measurement system)
  2. Going green (sustainable management of protected areas, enhancing livelihood of local communities, and intensifying the planting of trees)
  3. Being sustainable (cooperation, coordination, and compliance)
