Climate Investment and Financing Pilot Work Plan

This work plan was released by the Ministry of Ecology and the Environment, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, the People’s Bank of China, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the China Banking Regulatory Commission, the General Office of the China Securities Regulatory Commission and the Office of the State Administration of Management. It aims at translating strategic decisions on carbon peaking and carbon neutrality at the local level, and to explore differentiated climate investment and financing systems, mechanisms, organisational forms, service methods and management systems.

The document sets the rules and requirements to select pilot programs that will implement innovating climate financing frameworks.
