Coast Protection Act, 1963

This law regulates the construction of coastal protection works in Ireland. It allows subnational governments to investigate proposals for coastal protection works and requires them to deliberate on proposals. It also requires the Commissioners of Public Works to review proposals that have been approved at the subnational level to determine their feasibility, to approve them, and to develop coastal protection schemes for combating sea-level rise.
