Code of Environment and Natural Resources

The Code provides a comprehensive framework for managing and protecting Cambodia’s natural resources. This code emphasises the importance of sustainable development and integrating climate change considerations into national policies and practices. It contains a section to strengthen and improve capacity for climate change adaptation and resilience and greenhouse gas emissions reduction, by delineating the roles and duties of the ministry responsible for environment and natural resources; the policies, strategies and plans responding to climate change; the development of the financing framework and mobilisation of finance; and climate chnage information and reporting.
