Document Type

Summary

Taiwan’s Comprehensive Carbon Reduction Action Plan focuses on six major sectors through flagship carbon reduction projects to intensify reduction efforts. The Plan also proposes sectoral self-driven carbon reduction plans, continuously adjusting strategies as needed. The Plan incorporates six mechanisms—technological innovation, financial support, carbon pricing, regulatory adaptation, green collar talent, and community-driven initiatives—to integrate carbon reduction efforts across sectors.

The goal is to achieve four major transition visions: a more diversified energy transition, a more innovative industrial transition, a lower-carbon lifestyle transition, and a more resilient social transition. The Plan also aims to reduce air pollution, enhance energy independence, drive private investment, and cultivate green-collar talent, further accelerating green growth and improving societal well-being.
