This decree details the organisation and functioning of the Energy Directorate-General. The Directorate is notably in charge of conceiving and apply the executive energy policy, set up bills and reglementary texts and look after their implementation, ensure the promotion and development of the energy sector, set up and control national energy equipment plans, ensure rural electrification, and set up plans promoting renewable energies.
The Directorate for new and renewable energies's organisation and missions are defined in Art. 12.
