The Law on Energy Conservation aims at supporting economic and social development, and extending the extraction time of oil reserves as much as possible. The law seeks a rationalisation of energy consumption, energy efficiency in all fields, and the adoption renewable energy resources. The National Energy Research Center is charged with edict and coordination of energy efficiency measures in all appropriate sectors.
