This Act establishes the Energy Regulatory Authority to regulate the energy sector, defines its functions and powers, and provide for licensing of energy undertakings. Members of the Authority should have adequate knowledge related renewable energy. The Authority shall notably promote energy efficiency and the exploitation of renewable resources. The Authority is charged in art. 9.2.(i) to promote the exploitation of renewable energy resources, and (e) to promote energy efficiency and energy savings.
