The Environmental Protection Act was adopted in 1986 in order to protect the environment in its multiple forms from any type of pollution. It was amended for the last time in 2013, and include global warming as an issue to address.
Article 39 of the Law deals with the development of renewable energy resources. The Article seeks organisations to reduce their consumption of fossil fuels, such as coal and crude oil, and adopt renewable energy sources to allow for sustainable development to happen.
