The National Integrated Energy Climate Plan was approved by the Ordinance 4349 and is part of the State’s Energy Policy. The Plan sets ambitious targets: to increase the share of renewable energy in total final energy consumption by 27.4% by 2030 (Table 2.1),energy efficiency savings of 24% by 2030 (Table 2.7) and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 49% (excluding LULUCF) or 57% (including LULUCF) compared to 1990 levels in 2030 (Table 4.16). In 2050 the percentages of reduction would be 28% and 40% respectively, compared to 1990.
